The Inner Shift Retreat
Trust Yourself. Choose Differently. Move Forward.
- When
- March 2027
A deeper Inner Compass™ experience for self-trust, authentic choice and aligned forward movement. From recognising what you need to trusting yourself enough to act on it.
The Inner Shift supports capable women and professionals who appear to be managing well, yet privately feel caught between their own needs and the expectations, responsibilities and familiar patterns that continue to shape their choices.
The Inner Shift is the next stage of the Inner Compass journey. It moves beyond recognising patterns, restoring balance and clarifying direction. The focus is learning to trust what you already know, remain connected to yourself when pressure or disagreement arises, and make choices that reflect who you are becoming.
The Inner Compass remains the foundation, but it is experienced at a deeper level: not simply as a framework to understand yourself, but as an internal guidance system you can rely on in real decisions, relationships and transitions.
The retreat is designed primarily for middle-aged professional women and other high-functioning adults carrying significant personal and professional responsibility. They are thoughtful, capable and accustomed to supporting others, but may have become disconnected from their own voice, needs or direction.
It is not always a lack of insight. Often, the difficulty is trusting yourself enough to act on what you already know.
Without a shift, people can remain caught in indecision, over-responsibility and self-abandonment. Energy is spent managing expectations and maintaining familiar roles rather than creating the next stage of life. Over time, this can affect wellbeing, relationships, confidence, clarity and the capacity to enjoy what has already been achieved.
By the end of the retreat, you will have a clearer relationship with your own inner guidance, practical ways to recognise what is truly yours, and greater confidence to make one meaningful, aligned decision and carry it forward.
The Inner Shift does not ask participants to force confidence, disclose private material to the group or make dramatic decisions while emotionally activated. The work combines psychological understanding, body-mind awareness, hypnosis and practical reflection so that change can feel internally coherent and sustainable.
Activities offer several ways to participate: private written reflection, conversation, visual or tactile exploration, and optional embodied experience. This preserves the value of neuro-linguistic and experiential principles while making the retreat accessible to people who do not enjoy formal physical processes.
Day one
Listen
Recognising the voices influencing your choices
- Participants slow down enough to notice the difference between fear, conditioning, obligation, past experience, values and grounded inner knowing.
- The focus is curiosity rather than immediate change.
Day two
Trust
Releasing approval and over-responsibility
- Participants explore the patterns that make self-trust difficult, strengthen emotional ownership and develop a more authentic relationship with yes, no and personal permission.
Day three
Choose
Turning inner knowing into aligned movement
- Participants bring body signals, beliefs, values and future direction together around one meaningful decision, then create practical evidence of the emerging choice.
Signature retreat activities
- The Voices Around the Table: A reflective card-based process that identifies which internal influences have been given authority and what the grounded self would choose.
- Intuition, Fear or Conditioning? A practical comparison of urgency, familiar rules and quieter inner knowing through language, body signals and values.
- The Permission Pattern: Exploring where approval is still being sought and what becomes possible when internal permission strengthens.
- Emotional Ownership: Clarifying what belongs to the participant, what belongs to someone else and what can be cared about without being carried.
- The Authentic Yes and No: A body-mind decision process that supports clear, respectful choice without relying on a formal physical NLP exercise.
- The Decision Compass: Bringing body, beliefs, values and direction together around one current decision.
- Identity Evidence: Identifying real evidence of the qualities already emerging and choosing a small action that reinforces them.
